Step 1 To Buying a Home: Find a Realtor

First off, congratulations on your decision to buy a home and put down roots! It’s a big step and you’re starting off on the right foot by interviewing several agents before picking one to represent you.  Finding a real estate agent is an incredibly important part of the process.

You can always, ask friends and family for referrals of agents they’ve used and loved.  Even then though it’s still important to meet several agents.

Hopefully  you’ll consider me, call or text 801-725-0625 or nancyutahrealtor@gmail.com so we can meet in person and see if we would be a good fit together.  Remember, not all Realtors are right for all people. You need to find someone who is not only great at his or her job, but someone you like, as you’re going to be spending a lot of time with that person.  So get together grab coffee and chat.  See if you click.

First, you need to determine if that person has the experience, customer service and understanding of the market you’re looking at buying in.

Second, interview the Realtor by asking them very specific questions. See Recommended Interview Questions

Third, expect to sign an exclusive buyer broker agreement. That helps to insure that your Realtor will keep private information confidential and allows them to represent you and your interests during the transactions.
